How to Prepare For Your Appointment

Hey there, curl friend!

Your appointment is quickly approaching, and I want you to be prepared! Your customized curly cut will be performed on dry hair, which allows me to see how you wear your hair, the natural curl you're able to achieve, the volume you typically have, and the look you currently wear. That being said, I'll need a few things from you...

Come prepared to your first appointment, bring photos or other examples of styles you like AND don't like!

First it's important that you arrive with your hair clean, detangled and dry. You may style it as you normally would, however, please don't use any hair products that would cause your hair to feel sticky. Don't use any clips, bobby-pins, headbands, scrunchies or elastics in your hair, as they will disrupt your natural curl pattern.

Once you arrive I like to spend a bit of time with our consultation. I want to get to know you, your hair routine, and who you are as a curl girl. Pictures are a great way of communicating what it is you want, so I recommend you come with examples of hairstyles you like, as well as those you don't. I want to be sure that I have a good understanding of who you are, where you are in your curl journey and where it is you want to be.

Lastly, be prepared to celebrate your curls as you learn all the steps you'll need to successfully style your hair at home. We will even document your journey with photos, so we can see how your curls evolve.

I look forward to seeing you soon!
